What is prime brokerage? - Prime brokerage facilitates the clearance and settlement of securities traded by active market participants. Prime brokerage involves three parties:
  • Customer - typically a substantial institutional or individual investor.
  • Executing Broker - executes the trade for the customer.

Prime Brokerage

Triad Securities (member of SIPC) provides personalized prime broker services to over 250 accounts through a centralized group of trained prime brokerage specialists who address all your U.S. and international clearing, financing and support needs. Triad provides comprehensive prime broker services to accounts across all asset sizes and specializes in the smaller hedge funds and trading groups ($100 million or less) who could get neglected by the larger prime brokers.

Triad's prime brokerage allows the customer to use the services of several executing brokers, while maintaining only one account (with the prime broker) and receiving one consolidated account statement.

As a Triad client, you communicate with an individual contact person, one who understands your specific brokerage needs. You speak with a real person - never a voicemail!

Triad introduces its customer accounts on a fully disclosed basis to Ridge Clearing & Outsourcing Solutions, Inc. a subsidiary of Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. (NYSE symbol: BR). Triad's accounts are domiciled at Ridge Clearing and are protected by SIPC and excess SIPC. Our clients enjoy the benefits of a major institutional clearing firm, while taking advantage of our personalized customer service.

Triad and Ridge Clearing both act solely as agents for their customers in executing and clearing transactions. Neither Triad nor Ridge Clearing do any proprietary trading, market making, or inventory securities to be offered for sale to clients. As a result, neither the capital of Triad nor Ridge Clearing is exposed to the risk of market fluctuations. The clients of Triad and Ridge are further protected since Triad and Ridge Clearing are not Investment Banks, and do not leverage assets or invest the firm's capital in private transactions, real estate, illiquid or high risk instruments.
